About the Author

Marci Mazzarotto is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Communication at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ.

She holds a PhD from the University of Central Florida and an MFA from Asbury University.

Her work explores the intersection of critical theory and creative practice, with a focus on popular culture, film, and television.

Originally from Southern California with family roots in Southern Brazil, she now calls the beautiful Jersey Shore home.
