The Wildwoods Historic House Program
Preserving the Wildwoods, a committee of the Wildwood Historical Society, exists to ignite and encourage a passion for preserving the historic houses on Five Mile Island. We accomplish this by recognizing historic houses that have been preserved or restored to their original appearance. Apply now!
We also accept applications in hard copy at 3907 Pacific Ave. If we are closed, use the mail slot on the door. Here is a printable version of the application.
Criteria for Consideration
• Constructed before 1951
• Retains its original appearance or closely resembles its original design
• Has been well maintained and is in good condition

2. A photograph of the house, along with its address, will be included in the Book of Historic Houses, on display at the Wildwood Historical Museum.
3. For a $100 donation to the Wildwood Historical Society, the Preserving the Wildwoods Committee will also present the homeowner with a plaque suitable for exterior display, identifying the property as a Historic House of the Wildwoods.
4. The house may be featured in the Wildwood Historical Society's newsletter or social media.
