The Wildwood Historical Society and George F. Boyer Museum are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization that operates on donations, membership programs and the Cape May Culture & Heritage Commission Grant from the NJ Historical Commission.
Research
When you visit the Wildwood Historical Museum, you may spend however long you need to independently research a topic. You may peruse our archives in return for a monetary donation in the amount you choose.
However, if you can't visit the Wildwood Historical Society in person, our staff can search our records for you. Research includes all general research questions about a Wildwoods person, place, thing or event. It can take hours for our volunteers to do this research, which is why we ask $10 per photo, or $50-$60 per hour of in-depth research. It's truly a bargain, since Ancestry.com charges over $100 per HOUR! Compared to that, our research is quite affordable.
If you are searching for land records, titles, deeds or property transfers, we are not the people to ask. You will want to visit the Cape May County Clerk's Office here.
Research takes place whenever it is convenient for our volunteer staff. It will take longer for us to respond to requests sent during the fall/winter/spring. If you haven't heard back about a research request in one week, please email us. We cannot guarantee we will find what you're looking for.
