Join us on February 18th, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Wildwood Crest Art Pavilion (6301 Ocean Ave, Wildwood Crest, NJ 08260) as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.


Cape May County Clerk Rita Rothberg will present “Cape May County and the American Revolution,” a fascinating talk researched from public records. Discover what life was like in 18th-century Cape May County as residents joined the fight for independence against British tyranny.


Rita’s presentation will feature:


- A PowerPoint presentation

- Q&A session

- Insights into local heroes: John Hatton, Jacob Spicer, and Aaron Leaming

- The role of local pilots and privateers in the war

- The impact of the French and Indian War on the Revolution
